Acceptable Use Policy
To keep Ledgers safe and reliable for everyone, here is what you agree not to do. This policy forms part of the Terms of Service.
You must not
- Use Ledgers for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or to launder money or evade tax.
- Upload data you have no right to use, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Attempt to access another customer's data or any account that isn't yours.
- Probe, scan, or test the security of the platform without our written permission, or circumvent our access controls, rate limits or authentication.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the platform, or use it to build a competing product.
- Introduce malware, or interfere with or overload the service or its infrastructure.
- Misuse AI features — e.g. prompt-inject to extract other customers' data, or generate unlawful content.
- Resell or sublicense the service except as expressly permitted (e.g. accountants serving their own clients under our practice terms).
- Remove or obscure any proprietary notices.
Fair use
Automated/programmatic access must stay within any documented limits. We may apply rate limits and reasonable usage controls to protect platform stability for all customers.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected breaches and may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or report unlawful activity to the authorities. Where practical we will tell you first, but we may act immediately to protect the platform or other customers.
Reporting abuse
To report misuse or a security issue, email support@ledgers.work.
